Teen charged with aggravated domestic assault | Crime
A Bennington County teen has been charged with aggravated domestic assault after police say he took a baseball bat to a family car, and his father.
State Police say they responded to a house on Rogers Road in Rupert after they received reports of 18 year-old Clayton Tobin Jr. destroying a car with a baseball bat. They say when the teen’s parents wouldn’t allow him to drive the car he broke all the vehicle’s windows with a bat.
Police tell WNYT Tobin Jr. also threatened his father with the bat.
The family told police that they wouldn’t let Tobin Jr. take the car because was recently charged by state police with driving under the influence of drugs on March 30.
Tobin was sent to the Marble Valley Correctional Center.
